What it checks
- What readers are prepared to feel: separate the character’s emotion, your intended reader response, and the response the text actually supports.
- Why a moment lands—or misses: test legibility, credibility, investment, transmission, and aftereffect instead of relying on a single emotion score.
- Quiet and complicated emotion: account for restraint, numbness, delayed reaction, humor, mixed feeling, masking, and narrative distance without prescribing melodrama.
- Emotional movement: track setup, turns, contrast, consequence, relationship change, and payoff across a scene or longer arc.
- Revision priorities: receive evidence-based findings, smallest-useful-change options, tradeoffs, confidence labels, and stable IDs for rechecking.
Run a genuinely useful target-blind test
For the cleanest first pass, share the text without naming the intended emotion. The skill records what the page supports, then asks you to reveal your target in a second message. If the target is already visible, it honestly labels the result a controlled comparison instead.

- Full emotional analysis for a scene, chapter, climax, reveal, reunion, betrayal, or ending.
- Arc audit for several chapters, a relationship arc, or a manuscript.
