This spoiler-safe example was created from the retail EPUB of Overburden by K.S. Valentina. The skill chose the module sequence, wrote the copy, created six assets, and produced desktop and mobile review previews.
Workflow
From manuscript to upload map.
Install the skill. Use it in Codex for the full file, research, image, and validation workflow; adapted Project instructions are included for ChatGPT.
Add the manuscript and cover. Series covers, ASINs, author imagery, and brand guidance are optional.
Review strategy and spoiler boundaries. The workflow grounds its claims and presents the strongest module sequence before final production.
Receive and inspect the package. Use the generated previews and compliance report, then follow the numbered upload map in KDP.
Compatibility: The full workflow needs a skill-capable agent workspace with manuscript/file access, web research, and image generation. The deterministic preview renderer requires Python 3 and Pillow. Environments without those tools receive the supported strategy/copy subset and must not claim finished image validation.

Before you install it.
Does it guarantee Amazon approval?
No. It checks current official guidance and common rejection risks, but Amazon makes the approval decision and can change its interface or policies.
Will every book get the same five modules?
No. The skill scores the sequence for the book, existing listing, series context, available evidence, and mobile experience.
Does it generate the images?
Yes when the active workspace has an image-generation tool. Without one, it supplies exact art direction and specifications and clearly marks the visual package incomplete.
Can it handle a nonfiction book?
Yes. Its nonfiction branch examines the reader problem, supportable outcome, framework, chapter architecture, exercises, credentials, and high-risk claims.
What happens to my manuscript?
The downloadable skill runs in the AI workspace you choose. Darkling Collective does not receive a manuscript merely because you purchased or downloaded the skill. Your selected AI provider’s own privacy and data terms still apply.
Can I use the outputs commercially?
The single-user license allows commercial use of your original outputs, subject to the rights and platform rules governing your manuscript, supplied assets, fonts, and generated content. The skill files themselves cannot be shared or resold.
