Marketing, Hooks & Social Content
TeaserPro VN Studio
What it does: TeaserPro VN Studio turns a scene, chapter, manuscript, or Book DNA into TikTok/Instagram carousel content. It creates slide text, captions, image prompts, optional visuals, and scheduled campaign assets.
Best used when: you need BookTok slideshows, Instagram carousels, teaser hooks, caption copy, visual direction, or a repeatable campaign from the strongest emotional moments in the book.
Using TeaserPro in the Suite
- Open the Darkling Suite from the classroom link.
- Select the correct active book or project on the Suite dashboard.
- Go to Marketing, Hooks & Social Content and click TeaserPro VN Studio.
- Choose your AI engine, tier if shown, and confirm your API key is entered.
- Use From Book DNA if the Suite Brain already has premise, genre, characters, hooks, worldbuilding, and art direction.
- Use From Scene if you want the carousel built from one specific moment.
- Choose tone, format, slide count, visual mode, and whether to generate visuals or video.
- Click Architect Carousel.
The Suite version is best when your project already has Book DNA and art direction, or when you want TeaserPro to pull from the active manuscript.
Using TeaserPro Standalone
- Open the standalone TeaserPro VN Studio link provided in the classroom.
- Select your AI engine and paste your API key if needed.
- Paste a scene or chapter into From Scene, or use the upload option if you want the tool to find viral scenes from a manuscript.
- Pick the genre tone that matches the book’s reader promise.
- Choose square or vertical format and the number of slides.
- Use Text Only if you only need copy, or leave it off if you want image prompts/visuals. If the video checkbox appears, turn it on when you want video output instead of still-image assets.
- Generate, edit the slides, copy the caption, and save the assets you need.
The standalone version is best for fast content creation, single-scene teasers, or books that are not loaded into the Suite.
Input Options
- From Scene: best for a specific kiss, betrayal, reveal, fight, first meeting, threat, confession, or chapter ending.
- From Book DNA: best for broader book-positioning carousels built from premise, tropes, characters, world, and hooks.
- Find Viral Scenes: scans the manuscript for scenes that already have strong social content potential.
For the strongest output, feed TeaserPro one charged moment instead of an entire vague premise. The tool is best when it can build one deepening thought across the slides.
Main Controls
- Tone: choose the genre flavor: romantasy, dark romance, cozy mystery, thriller, gothic, MM, why choose, fantasy, horror, and more.
- Format: choose square for Instagram-style posts or vertical for TikTok/Reels/Stories.
- Slide Count: choose 3, 5, 7, 9, or 12 slides. Seven is a strong default for most viral carousel threads.
- Dynamic Story: each slide gets unique visual direction.
- Consistent Brand: one visual language carries across the whole carousel.
- Text Only: skips visuals and gives you slide copy/caption faster.
- Generate Video: check this when you want TeaserPro to create video-style output through the supported visual engine instead of only still carousel images. This is heavier than text-only or image mode, so use it after the slide copy is already working.
Visual Consistency & Templates
- Consistency Preset: save reusable style settings for a series, pen name, or campaign.
- Reference Images: upload inspiration images for style or character analysis.
- Character Visual Templates: define FMC/MMC/side cast looks so generated prompts stay consistent.
- General Style & Setting Template: describe the overall visual world: lighting, palette, setting, era, mood, and medium.
Use this panel when you care about visual continuity across multiple posts. Skip it when you only need quick text slides.
Video Option
TeaserPro can also create video output when the Generate Video checkbox is available. Use this after you have chosen the tone, format, slide count, and visual style. The tool will use the same carousel concept and visual direction, but route the asset generation toward video rather than still slide images.
Best use: first run the carousel in Text Only mode, tighten the slides, then regenerate with visuals or video. That keeps you from spending time on a video built around copy you would have changed anyway.
Recommended Workflow
- Start text-only first. Get the slide hook working before spending time on visuals.
- Use 5 or 7 slides for most posts. Shorter is cleaner; longer needs a very strong turn on every slide.
- Edit the slide text inside the preview. Tighten anything that feels explanatory, generic, or too complete.
- Copy the caption separately. The caption should create its own open loop, not summarize the slides.
- Generate or refresh visuals after the copy works. Visuals should support the hook, not rescue it.
- Schedule the campaign only when the assets are clean. Add date/frequency in the campaign modal once the carousel is ready.
Export & Scheduling
- Copy All Slides: copies the slide labels and slide text.
- Save All Images: downloads generated visual assets. If you used video mode, save the generated video assets from the slide media area.
- Copy Caption: copies the generated caption and hashtags.
- Schedule Campaign: adds the carousel to the campaign planner with a start date and posting frequency.
- Campaign Dashboard: shows today/up next, scheduled, and posted campaign items.
Common Fixes
- The slides feel like separate ideas: paste a tighter scene or reduce slide count.
- The hook gives too much away: rewrite with more withholding and fewer named explanations.
- The output sounds generic: use a more specific scene and choose the closest genre tone.
- The visuals are inconsistent: use character templates, reference images, and a saved consistency preset.
- The post feels too long: cut to 5 or 7 slides and make the final slide reframe the whole sequence.
